Hey everyone im new to this but im givin it a shot. I got a 97 accord and the starter died so i went and got a new starter put it in and the car was starting fine and now the starter seems to be dying again. Could it be the distibuter??

 

Starter problem & distributor problem act very different from each other.

Does the starter spin the engine? If not, the distributor can't be at fault.

If the starter spins the engine but it doesn't fire up & start, then you need to determine if it's lacking fuel or lacking spark.

Which way does it struggle?

 

i have a similar problem and its lacking fuel i would like to believe. because when i give it gas sometimes it starts up
