Default 1997 accord won't start

Hi all newbie here. My 97 accord will not start, engine won't turn over. I installed new battery after leaving lights on all night and was time for a new one. The car will start if you bridge the solenoid over. It will not start with key engaged in starting position. I have checked the ignition fuse under the hood.I have a wiring diagram of the starting circuit. I think maybe the starter cut relay may be bad. Where is this located, what does it look like, does it have a part# What are your thoughts? Any and all help will greatly be appreciated....Roe

Put your model and engine type in signature line.

Ignition switch likely is failing. This is a common problem in Accords. No start signal from keyswitch is most likely reason that bridging solenoid works.

good luck
