I'm replacing my power steering rack on my 1998 Honda Accord because it's leaking and I'm having a problem removing it from the car. I have disconnected everything in the repair manual like stiffiner mounts, steering columnn intermedaite shaft and lines but cannot guide the rack out of the car. It's a very tight fit. I even went to the extent of lowering the subframe. Does anyone have any helpful information?

 

Get a manual. Go to Online Manuals links in DIY section. There is a 98-02 manual for download. It requires burning to a CD to be read.

Even a 94-97 Accord download manual my be helpful.
