Default 1998 honda accord v6 - odometer and climate control back lights

Hi guys,

I have a 1998 honda accord V6. The lights illuminating my AC control and odometer went out. I would like to know how to change the bulbs . Anybody out there know the step-by-step instructions on how to do it - Please ??

The instrument panel must be removed to access small bulbs in panel that illuminate.

If you have a manual AC control (not Auto temp control), same answer, the entire panel must be removed to access bulbs or leds.

In both cases, the instrument panel trim must be removed to access the gauge panel or the Heater/AC control panel. A Honda Shop Manual is essential to avoid damaging the plastic parts. Some patience necessary to avoid breaking connectors and snaps that may be tricky to release.

A good emanual can be purchased on ebay for $21.99 or check downloads on this site for download. I think the 98 manual requires mulitple steps to burn a cd first and then download.

good luck
