Default 1998. How long do the rubber AT oil cooler lines last?

I have a 1998 2.3 liter with 125k miles. I'm replacing the radiator and checked the lines. They seem to be in good condition, no cracking and pliable.

How long do the original lines tend last?

Recommend changing out or keeping the originals?

Thanks in advance

I don't know. The lines/hoses on my wife's 2000 Accord are OE as far as I know. She's got 239K on hers and it's still going strong. If you decide to replace them, use dedicated AT hose, as it's made for it (different construction from fuel hose).

As with much else automotive, it all depends; if it is really hot where you live and/or if you don't drive very much, they will dry out and crack in fewer miles and in less time. Personally, I tend to go through my cars ever 105,000 miles (timing belt change time) and do all of the rubber belts and hoses.

I'll plan on replacing them. For future reference, if it helps anyone, the internal diameter of the rubber lines is 10 mm and the outer diameter is 16 mm. 10 mm ID hose is not available locally so i will use 3/8 inch which is 95% of the 10 mm ID, ie close enough. I'm buying 3 feet, 2.5 ft should cover it.
