Well back to the drawing board!!!! My wife decided to drive my car down to a neighboring city around 35 miles from the house and she just called me and said the car was acting up like crazy again. Remember when it starts to act up it's like you turn the key off and to get it to take back again is push the accelerator pedal down towards the floor then it catches back ahold and will accelerate as long as your increasing speed with the gas pedal but if you let off the pedal ever so slightly it will act up again. You can pull off to the side of the road and turn it off and wait a few seconds and re-start it and it most of the time will do ok for a little while before it acts uo again. Then about as quick as it started acting up then it will straighten up and drive ok. When it is acting up it's like you take 3 of the 6 spark plug wires off because it runs so rough and rich smelling. Again PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing you didn't replace was the vacuum solenoid which should be good. The list below is what I would check.

1. Did you remove any vacuum lines ( maybe put them back in the wrong place.

2. Wiring. Recheck all cables to make sure nothing is frayed.

3. Your ports are clean because you double checked.

4. Your last explanation sounds like a throttle position sensor going bad to me but the code you are getting is not indicating a bad TPS.

5. ECM could be a possibility but highly unlikely

Try to answer some of your suggestions. I haven't taken any vacuum lines loose. I put a new Dorman TPS on it. I put a used Ecm on it off a salvaged vehicle. I can check on the frayed cables. I cleaned the plenum ports before. Let me know what you think.

When and why did you replace the TPS. For the same issue? If so we can move on from that theory. ? Did you do the learn process when you replaced it? I honestly can't think of anything else. The code you're having has been addressed at multiple angles that should of fixed your issue. Your vacuum solenoid would be the last thing but that is reaching.

Have you let your car sit at idle and start wiggling the key to see if you have and issue. I don't know I'm just throwing thing out there now. Have you done a smoke test to see if there is a leak?

I replaced the tips hoping it may have had something to do with it. I calibrated it when I installed it but what is the learn process you mentioned?

That's it. 4.36 is low. It should of been bolted at 4.5. It's better to do it at operating temps also

I never could get it to set at 4.5v when I set it at .50v closed throttle.

I contacted Dorman when I was adjusting it and the tech said that should be good. Yea or nay?
