Unhappy 1999 honda accord a/c compressor wont actuate

99 accord a/c blowing hot air.... i jumped the battery directly to the compressor and the compressor works and the air blows cold....I reconnected the compressor plug and jumped the pressure cutoff switch on the drier....when i disconnected the plug from the drier the fan went off and when i jumped it with paperclip the fan came back on..... seems as if im getting power to the cutoff switch.... also i switched out the relay under the hood and no change in compressor status....

You say "the fan" - which I read as one. So which fan is running - Drivers or pass side....also need to know is this a 4 or 6 cyl?

Suggest checking voltage on the single wire at the compressor connector.

Low or no voltage means either the ECU is denying ground to AC relay, relay has failed, or wiring fault from relay to compressor.

good luck

If the passenger side fan is not on it is either low on charge or the relay is no good I work at a Honda dealer relays and a/c clutch are most common
