Default 1999 Honda accord V6 engine starts and then dies

My 1999 Honda Accord V6, has 172000 miles.
Just recently the car engine starts and then dies after 1 - 2 seconds.

After three (attempts) instances of this, the car finally starts.

This start the immediate engine stops is occurring once every 7 days.

This happens after I drive 35 minutes, let the car sit in the parking lot for 30 minutes, then I try to start the car.

However, if the car rest for 8-9 hours, the engine starts fine and turns over on the first try.

The battery is 8 months old, Idle air control valve is one year old.
The starter is two years old.

Can anyone let me know what the problem is and what needs to be replaced.

Thank you

Some of the early 6th gen v6's had an issue with vapor lock/heat soak. Might read up on that and see if it matches the issue you are having.

I'm not suggesting you do anything in this attached pdf, just read the description of what the car will do. You can then research more about the issue and decide if that is what is going on with the car.
