Default 1999 Honda Accord won't turn off

Hello,

Vehicle Information:

1999 Honda Accord EX, 130k
Auto, 4 cyl, VTEC engine

I just replaced the ignition switch on my Honda Accord due to having problems and reading here that this was a possible solution to the car not clicking or starting. Well that took care of the problem, but now I have another one. The car starts fine, but will not turn off even after turning off the ignition it stays on. I had to disconnect the battery to kill it, but I don't want to use it again and mess the alternator.

Do you think I might have to replace the actual locking mechanism, too? Any ideas?

I appreciate everything you all do for the Honda owners. I love my Honda Accord

So the engine stays running? Or do you mean accessories etc.

Either way, it sounds like a problem with the ignition switch. Faulty switch, or I don't know what might have gone wrong with the install...?
