Default 1999 suspension help

I have a 1999 honda accord sedan and am looking to get my suspension checked out (making rough noise when hitting small pot holes at low speed). No matter what, i want it lowered. I do not it slammed but maybe an inch or two lower. Any suggestions? Suspension has to stand up to new england bad roads.

Anyone in the northshore, mass area?

I would put the front on jack stands, turn the steering wheel until it locks, then push/pull on the tire. Do this on the vertical (12/6 o'clock) and horizontal (3/9 o'clock) axis of the tire. There should be little movement. If you have movement or noise, try to locate the noise.

IMO, the OEM honda suspension is pretty reliable. I have no opinions on aftermarket suspensions that lower the vehicle. There is a suspension section that will be able to help. It all depends on what you want out of your suspension (smooth ride vs steering).
