Default 1999 vtec sport power steering trouble

Hi all!

New to the forum and hoping someone will be of help
My steering rack went a week ago and since have bought a second hand one. My mechanic fitted it (eventually) as it seemed to be an absolute nightmare to get out/in without dropping the sub frame. After a good few hours, swear words, hammers, lever bars and magic... we got it in. However, in doing so required cutting the power steering pipe from the pump to the rack (part number 11 on the image). :/
I have rung around and cant seem to get a price for this part cheaper than £70. Also on this pipe is a plastic switch/connector block (part number 15 on the image). I have the old switch/ connector from the old pipe. If i buy this section of pipe, will the old switch/ connector fit on aswell or does it need to be bought with the pipe?
All help and suggestions of good places to shop for this item in the UK will be welcomed with open arms.

Thanks,

Elliot

No. 15 is the pressure switch. You normally remove this from the old power steering pressure hose to put on the new hose.

I think overseas you are pretty much stuck with the dealer........Not sure if they are the same between the NA models and there....if they are, again you'd have to find a place that will ship overseas......
