67K miles. Check engine light came on (low EGR flow). Mechanic cleaned the EGR valve but the light came back on a day later. He now says there is a 1-day job involving removing the intake manifold and cleaning out carbon. Any comments?

 

I helped a friend with this repair. It wasn't too bad of a job. It only took about an hour to do.
