Hi, I have a 2000 Honda Accord V-6 LX sedan automatic.
Today my check engine light came on, stayed on. I had Autozone pull the code P0401. The said I need a new EGR valve $91.20 + tax.

I want to diagnosis first, then if necessary buy parts. HELP!!

Where do I start?

 

The egr port is likely plugged. There is a TSB about this.
