How do you reset the Engine light? Thanks

 

First you gotta figure out what year your car is. Then determine whether it's the check=engine lamp or the maintenance-reqd. lamp that you're talking about...

ps... Oops, it's in the title of your post...

Reset check-engine light: There's a fuse box over in the right end of the dash, near the door hinges. Pull fuse #13 in there for a minute.

Reset maint.reqd. lamp: Press & hold the trip-odometer-reset button when the key is turned OFF. Continue holding the reset button for about 20 seconds after turning ON the key. Lamp will flash a few times & turn off.

 

did you fix the problem first ?

if not jump pins #8 and #13 and then turn the car on and count the # of short and then count the # of long flashes to get the code
