Default 2000 Accord rear steel brake line replacement.

I know how to bend, double flare, and install the new brake lines. But I apparently don't know how to remove the plastic cover. Any suggestions? Do I even need it? If not, then I'm just going to cut it off and throw it away, because it seems to be nothing but a huge hassle and plus it holds onto road salt apparently.

I asked the same question a while back. No one answered with any way to remove the plastic cover. I ended up breaking it off and tossing it. I agree that it seems to do more harm than good being there. I feel that was part of the reason my break line rusted out. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Similar experience with an Integra. The plastic was brittle with age & many of them broke.
