2000 accord v 6 srs light on dash

I believe it's a lifetime warranty on the seatbelt latches in USA. That is... life OF THE CAR. So if it's a salvage title (say collision damage) then that warranty dissappears.
Certainly it's worth a phone call to the dealer, but you can still try cleaning them.

I assume you have to reset the light after cleaning the seat belt latch? I'm not thread-jacking. My SRS light actually just came on too and I'm looking for a quick remedy without having to dig through my helm manual and I'm too lazy to get the code checked right now

Man my computer at work is SLOW on the forum. Plus I have han no time at all at work to do anything other than work. At home, I now have an 11 month old son who I have lovingly described as a cross between a tazmanian devil and a honey badger. Therefore, I have little time at all to do anything at home either haha. I have recently discovered I can get on the forum using my iPhone though, so I'll probably be on here more now. I wish we had an iPhone app...
Anyways, back to the subject at hand: I inspected the seat belt latch and it doesn't look dirty. I wouldn't really even know how to clean it anyway (I'll do some more research on that.) I have glanced at my Helm and the SRS system is pretty scary. Anything more than checking fuses and the seatbelt latch, I'll probably take it to the shop. I wouldn't want to have an airbag blow up in my face or disable the airbags.

The closest I've come to that was just working in the steering column and knowing the proper way to disconnect & re-connect the SRS harnesses (bright yellow covering). I thought the Helm book had real good instructions for how to do that. You really don't want it blowing up in your face.
