We didnt replace the entire distributor just the cap and the rotor, Im not 100% sure what the fuel pump problem was since we never really diagnosed it just left it unresolved. It doesnt seem to be burning oil either

What kind of engine does it have?

F23a1 or F23a4?

The F23a4 has ULEV written on the valve cover. It should also say "F23ax" on the sticker that is on the cam wheel cover where the timing belt lives

The spark plug wire order on the distributor cap for a F23A1 and F23A4 are the same, while it is different for a F23A5.

And remember that the cylinders are numbered starting from the "front" of the engine, which is the end that has the external drive belts. So cylinder #4 is closest to the distributor.

just more info, may or may not be related, but the P1399 is related to clogged EGR valve/intake ports and possible valve clearance issues.

Ok it looks like the wires were installed correctly. Also we did a compression test and that wasnt the issue either. It does have an A1 engine

it appears now that the car is starting up fine and will run for about 10 seconds before the engine starts to slow down and it shuts back off. It seems like it is not getting enough fuel and I have a half tank of gas too.

The spark was good, compression was also good, the injectors ohm out good and are not leaking. I was wondering if maybe the fuel pressure regulator could be a possible cause of the problem?
