Default 2000 V6: Engine Mount Replacement Order?

I need to replace both the front and right-side engine mounts, but NOT the rear mount. I will use a scissor jack and block of wood under the engine to support its weight.

Is it safe to replace both mounts at once? If not, what order should I do them in? Maybe replace the front mount first, but leave its bolts loose while I do the right-side mount?

I have never heard of an order of installation, but you should make sure that no binding occurs when bolts are installed. Easy to crossthread a misaligned bolt leading to bad consequences.

I think your suggestion of front first and side 2nd makes sense. Both may require some engine support for alignment of new mount.

good luck

This isn't for the V6, but there WAS a sequence for the 98-99 4-cyl mounts. It was in the text of the Helm shop manual procedure for R&R of the engine. All mounts were installed, loosely. Then some tightened, shake the engine, tighten others, etc. Something like that.
