Default 2001 Accord DX LIGHT PROBLEM

Have a 2001 Accord & all a sudden the park/tail lights do not work...well they work but the fuse in the holder blows instantly when I flip the switch. My headlights, turn lights, brake lights, hazard lights works fine. I have went thru 6 fuses in under 2 minutes trying to see what the problem is. The lights come on the I hear the pop noise on the fuse and its blown in under 5 seconds. I do not have a cd player in it since I took it out months ago & just recently got the car back because I am customizing the kit & priming it down. I have in after-market headlights but they work fine. I noticed that when I put in my new tail lights thats when the park lights didnt work all a sudden but even when I disconnected the tail lights and had nothing attached, the fuse STILL blowed when I hit the park light switch. Any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance. Here is a link of sum pics of my car to let you see what I have done so far http://www.cardomain.com/id/Redmond_864

I would try checking all the wires that were installed when you switched the taillights out becasue one of them could be touching metal and poping the fuse everytime. If not check the ground wires coming off the taillights.

Something is drawing too much current. This is with the parking light right? The most thorough way to figure what is wrong is to isolate the wire that is grounded.

That will involve unplugging the wires from the connector on both ends, then using a volt meter to see if a wire is closed to ground. I would also clean all grounding points on your car.

You should also download a 98-02 shop manual from the Online Manuals thread in the DIY section to figure out the wire colors and look at the circuit diagrams. We can help you with the tests as well.
