Hi New here, Just bought a lovely 1991 HA SE, Automatic,151k. Got home tonight and struggled to push into park and pull out of park, otherwise wonderful. Can't understand the shift lock key slot, please explain. Any advice with my newbie stiff shift problem. Please and thank you........

 

If you put your spare key the shift lock, it should unlock the shifter when you push down on the key.

Is the problem pushing in the button, or shifting the gear?

Also, do your brake lights work?

 

I will try the spare key in the lock, but the problem is the stiffness of pulling the gear from park and pushing back into park. I followed the car home last night and the brakelights work, I will let you know later re the key, thanks
