2001 accord tranny, how to tell if it has problem
i am new here, just saw a black 2001 accord with 120K miles. when i do google search, i found a lot of complains about it's auto. tranny.
is there a way to tell if the tranny is on the way out? i tested drive the car, and it shifts normal. engine running fine too.
and in general, how bad is this tranny problem? is it rear or fairly common about that year's accord?
thank you in advance

You didn't say if it was a V6 or 4-cylinder. Both had problems with the automatic, but the V6 accords had more problems just from my experience with posts on this site. If the car is a manual transmission, then those were pretty rock solid.
There is no way that I know of to tell if the transmission will last a week or for years. You can find out if the fluid was well maintained. You should have a buyers inspection done at a shop that specializes in hondas/foreign cars.
