2001 Accord V6 A/C intermitent
Recently bought an accord and the A/C worked great for a week
Then i was driving home and the engine felt weird for a second and the A/C slowly stopped cooling. So i pulled over and couldnt see anything obviously wrong so i got back in and started it back up and boom the A/C works again. I thought it was weird but it worked again so whatever.
Then today i drive it again and after about 5 to 8 minutes of driving it just stops working again. This time it didnt come back on for my whoke 25 minute drive.
Then after my haircut i got back in and it worked great for 3 minutes and then stopped working again.
What could be the issue?
I called the local honda dealer and they said something about a thermal switch in the compressor is getting the wrong data?
So new compressor maybe? or should I change the pressure switch? is it a relay issue? I watched a video and the guy said the relay could get stuck sometimes? im at a lose for an obvious solution.

I'll suggest not replacing any parts until you do some diagnostics. This could be a simple fix or something more complicated.
Check for HVAC codes. Open the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum. This can identify a faulty component.
I'm not sure the 01 even has a thermal switch.
When your a/c is turned on, but not blowing cold air, open the hood and see if the two radiator fans are running. If you can see the a/c compressor, look to see if the a/c compressor clutch is spinning with the pulley. The a/c clutch is the metal plate that is in front of the compressor pullley. It will spin with the engine with the a/c turned on and be stationary when the a/c is turned off.
