hi, i have a 97 accord and started having trouble with the a/c. It was working fine then i turned off the car and when I turned on the car again, no a/c. I checked the relay next to the radiator, checked the fuses and nothing. I got a good sign when I tried the compressor direct and the a/c worked, but I still can't get it to work normally. Any suggestions

 

when you jumped the compressor was the a/c cooling well ??? if low on freon a/c compressor will not engage,,,,,,,,

try this,, start the car up, put a/c on, disconnect and jump the pressure switch at rec drier ,,,if system comes on most likely it is low on freon or a bad pressure switch

if it still does not come on let us know we need to diagnose it ,, most likely electrical problem

and what do you mean chk the relay and the fuses and NOTHING...........fuses ok ?? getting power and ground at relay ??

 

hi thanks for the post. well i found the problem, it was the switch inside the car. I didnt think that was the problem but went ahead and tried it. Sure enough it was that. Thanks
