Hi,

Recently scanned my car and got a P1706 error code.

1. A/T Range Switch open.
2. Transmission Range Switch Circuit Open.
3. A/T Gear No Position.

I've heard that sometimes it/they need to be replaced, or sometimes they've become disconnected and need to be reconnected.

I know nothing about Range switches though, and was wondering if anyone knows where it/they are located for my vehicle? Every video I watch, they seem to skip over where it's located and have the camera too far zoomed in.

Is this a 4-cyl or V6 accord?

It is on the transmission. It is a box with an electrical connector where the shift cable connects to the transmission.
