Hello expert,
My 2001 Honda Accord LX rear passenger door lock does not work when using remote, or from any door switch. The only way to lock/unlock is to pull or push it directly.

I searched online indicating that it may be the actuator problem. Can you confirm?

I tested with the 9v battery. The actually made a low clicking sound, but it didn't actuate the lock. I take it it's broken, right?

If you applied power directly to the actuator and it didn't lock/unlock then yes it is bad or the linkage is "binding" in such a way that it won't move.

 

To be sure, try to use 12 volts instead of 9 volts. I tried 9 volts on an actuator before and didn't get movement; but, 12 volts did.
