Hi Guys im new to HAF,

I have a 01' LX 4 door and when someone manually pulls the front passenger door lock open , it doesnt lock or unlock from the central locking on the driver side. I see it trying to move sometimes, but when i was checking the fuse for it, 10 min later it was fine and working again untill today, my co-worker pulled on the lock **** and started again. Should I open it up and see the actuator? it seems to still work and I think that when they pull on it manually it just gets pulled out of something.... but when I lock it from the outside with my key on the passenger side all the locks open and close all together.

 

When you use the key on the passenger door, there is no electrical actuation happening, so the lock works. The rest of the doors locking and unlocking is a feature of the lock cylinder circuit. I would say the actuator for the suspect lock is either failing or has a bad connection.

I always lean toward OEM parts, unless the they are cost prohibitive. Have you checked Honda pricing yet?
