My girlfriend went to start her Accord the other day and it would not fire. It just cranked and cranked to no avail. The car has 99k on the ticker.

The check engine light has been on and off. It went out for a while after I added Sea Foam through the brake booster. It is still intermittent.

She got in today and it fired right up. It told her to go the dealership and see if she had any outstanding recalls.

It did:
S/B: 99-085..........1998-01 Accord EGR Port Clog
S/B: 02-062..........1999-01 Trans warranty ext
S/B: 06-009..........1999-04 OPDS Warranty extension.

Could any of these recalls cause an intermittent starting problem?
Any other Ideas on why the car would act up?

Did they do anything with the EGR port?

 

Nothing yet, She has to setup an appt when she gets a chance. I am pretty sure that the Check Engine codes were reading something like an EGR problem too.
