Default 2001 V6 Accord IAC valve location

Need help locating IAC valve in 01 V6 accord. Idle goes from 1000-1200, check engine light and TCS light all acted up at once. Please help. Picture of valve and location would be great. Thanks!

Girlsplay basketball,

The Idle Air Control valve on your '01 V-6 is located underneath your throttle body. Honda calls this part the "rotary air control valve set" instead of the AIC valve, but it is one in the same.

The rotary air control valve is depicted as ref #2 in this '01 Accord V6 throttle body diagram.

Let me know if you need additional help

If you haven't extracted DTC's (codes) take to Autozone or others to get the ECU code (Pnnnn). Post codes for help.

good luck

Default Found valve! Thanks!

I found the valve and looks like a fairly easy job to do. Thanks for your help. Also the idle has went back to normal. Can I take it off and just clean it rather that replace with a new $150 part? I will have code checked this weekend.

Cleaning it often works, so try that.

I'm gonna move this to General Tech where it belongs.
