2002 EX Accord V4 - Brakes Grabbing while Stopping
Hi Members,
I am new to this forum since i recently purchased an Used 2002 Honda Accord EX , 4 Cyl Engine and got 144K Miles on it.
It runs smooth and no issues as i drove 200 miles as soon as i purchased it in Chicago,IL.
But when i take off accelerator and come to a complete STOP, my accord just jerks (not harsh but like Slick) from D4 to N or stop.
It struggles like going to 3K RPM from 1st to 2nd gear then everything is fine, smooth on the highway no issues.
Question is it problem with the brakes calipers or transmission? I don't want to take it to the shop and they mess up. Luckily there is NO Check Engine Lights so far. Touch Wood.
Guys pls help on what to do now.
Thanks
prs

Two comments:
- I'm really having a difficult time wrapping my brain around what you're trying to describe for us; would you please rephrase?
- Within the context of a Honda Accord (or for that matter, any other car built in modern history), there is no such a thing as a V4 engine. Your car has an I4 (Inline-4) engine.

Are you sure the brakes are grabbing? FWIW, your automatic transmission does have a feature to aid braking by downshifting the transmission and using engine braking under some circumstances.

Sounds pretty normal to me; stop shifting into Neutral when coming to a complete stop.
