Default 2002 Honda Accord - Power outlet (cigarette lighter) not working.

Hi Everyone,

My power outlet (right up under my radio) won't work. I've checked all fuses and they are all good. When I checked the fuse map, there wasn't a specific fuse for the power outlet or cigarette lighter, however, I checked all and I said they were fine.

I would like to use my power outlet, but I can't get it to work ...

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks

Recheck fuse 9 in the passenger under dash fuse box.

make sure you check all the fuses in the engine compartment AND in the fuse box thats in the inside by the pedals.

if your still getting no power it may be the specific thing your plugging into the outlet, test it with a voltimeter.

Stupid question, but how do I know if the fuse is bad using a visual inspection? I don't have a volt meter.

To check a fuse, remove it from the panel. Hold the fuse up to the light and look closely at the sides of the plastic fusehead. If it is blown, the center metal element in the plastic will be broken/burnt/discolored. If not, then the fuse is likely still good.
Try using the stock cigarette lighter to check for heat/power to the socket.
