Smile 2003 2.4l Kalif Spark Plug Dilemma P0301

Hello All,

I originally got a P0303 cyl 3 misfire code. Replaced that coil pack, then got a P0301 so I replaced ALL coil packs with Denso OEM... Now the P0301 code has returned after a few weeks, so I am going to replace the plugs. I know I should have done at same time but was very time constrained.

Q: Researching, I find there are different plug gaps based on if car is a Calif spec or Fed, for NGK Iridium. This is a Calif car. ULEV What's the difference with the plugs other than the obvious? Will it make a difference if I use the ..044 vs .052 plugs?

Thanks! 🤞

Your car should have a sticker under the hood or in the door jamb that says the part number for the ngk and denso spark plugs for your vehicle. Only use that part number for the spark plugs you install in your car.
