Hey,

I have a question and I hope to find the answer here.
I have Honda Accord LX 2003 2.4L, and I need to put a new engine in it. I found a 2007 engine in the area I live in. The question is: Can I put a 2007 engine on a 2003 Accord?

You can; but, I'm not sure of what all may be involved for the swap.

In the 2003, I believe it still has the cruise control and throttle cables. Whereas, the 2007 went to drive-by-wire throttle control which was electronically controlled.

My guess is if you swapped the block and used the same intake manifold (may or may not need to swap intake manifold) and throttle body, that would be the easiest. If you were trying to swap everything, then that may require a different ECM/PCM, pedal position sensor, etc., etc.

I'll see if I can find anything.

Your 2003 engine is a K24A4 (2003-2005 Accords), the 2007 engine is a K24A8 (2006-2007 Accords). The cylinder block and head are slightly different between the A4 and A8.
