Red face 2003 Accord ex-l v6 issues....

Hi Everyone,

We have an 03 accord v6 and like the car, but there are some things i don't think are right.
1) sometimes after starting the car there is a slight fuel smell.
2) When the car accelerates hard it smells like rotten eggs
3) fuel mileage is bad, right now getting less then 400km per tank (less then 250miles)

I think all these are related somehow and looking for some guidance on where to start. I was also going to replace plugs, fuel filter and air filter. My local partsource has Bosch, but i have mostly used NGK in my imports. Any suggestions on a good plug for these motors?

Another thing (4), The traction control seems to be noisy - like grinding/abs sounds. Is this considered normal? Our last car with tcs, was quite...

Info would be appreciated.

Thanks all!!!!

Always use NGK spark plugs. Your owner's manual should give you the proper part number.

The rotten eggs smell is indicative of a bad catalytic converter.

I think doing a tune-up to see if the fuel smell goes away. Also, stop by an autozone and have any codes read off of the ECU and post the code(s) on here. They will be a P and four numbers, i.e. P1234.

Had it scanned and no codes were returned.
Also had live diagnostic and everything checked out
