Default 2003 Accord Front Door Ajar sensor Failure?!

Recently when driving I have noticed that my dash is showing that my front passenger door is ajar. At first it seemed to flick on then off with no regularity. I then noticed that if the front passenger leans on the door the sensor will show that it is ajar then the light will go off again when the pressure is removed from the door panel. Also if I make a hard left turn the sensor will trip showing the door is ajar until I straighten the car out and the light goes out. Not a huge issue but it is distracting to see the red light flicker on and off on the dash as I am driving. I am also worried that it will trip when the car is parked (remember the door panel courtesy light comes on when that door is "ajar") and drain the battery. Does anyone know what sensor is failing so I can replace it? I’m sure it is some contact sensor in the door frame but I cannot find it in my service manual. I'm sure its in there but after looking for a while in the 300 page electrical section I figured I better ask you guys. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Guys and Gals! Happy New year! Be safe!

I would check the door to see it closes all the way (flush with the body) and see if the rubber is damaged or missing over the switch in the door jam. I am pretty sure that the switch provides a ground to complete the circuit.
