Anyone have a check light on and fault code. BAD IAC? (Idle Air Control) What did you do? I called the dealer and they told me that i had to buy a new throttle body with the IAC attached to it. That's $300 bucks!! Let me know what you did as i need to get a smog soon. I'm located in CA. Thanks

 

You may be able to unbolt the IAC and clean it out using throttle body cleaner. The IAC on older accords were known to get carbon buildup in there. Also unplug the connector to make sure the contacts look to be in good shape.

Another option is to buy a used throttle body from a junkyard or ebay. www.car-part.com has local parts listing with prices.
