2003 Honda Accord LX has some weird electrical problems, symptoms:

• No key left in ignition chime
• door courtesy lights turn on / off with the door open / closed (lights in the door panel)
• dome light turns on with the switch in on position
• dome light turns on when the door opens only if ignition is in on position
• electric door lock does nothing when ignition is in acc or off
• electric door lock unlocks, but wont lock when ignition is in on position
• lock/unlock on key remote doesn't do anything
• same behavior on both driver and passenger side

I dont think it's the door switch because the door light turns on / off with the switch, unless the switch is multi-pole?

 

I'd probably treat the dome light and the locks as separate issues for now.

I'd recommend troubleshooting the locks first.

Is your car a 4 or 2 door?

For the locks, do you have the same problems with a different remote? Does the key in the driver's outside door handle lock/unlock all the doors? I'm trying to eliminate possibilities.
