I've got a 2003 V-4 Honda Accord 4door.

Malfunction indicator lamp comes on about once a month and usually goes off after 2-3 days. This has happened for about 3 months now. I always check the gas cap and make sure it's tight.

Anyone else familiar with common issues as it relates to the malfunction indicator lamp on my model? I don't seem to be experiencing any changes in acceleration, driving, overall "feel" when it comes on, but still worries me a bit.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

There are many possible faults. The MIL indicates a Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) is set.

When light comes on, go to Autozone or other parts store and ask them to retrieve code. Post the code for additional guidance.
