Just have a quick question.. On my 2003 AccordV6 6-Speed. What is normal operating temp for these motors?? I noticed last night when i had it hooked up to a scan tool it was running about 178-180 degrees idleing.. This is my first honda all my other vehicles idled around 190-195. just wondieng if this is normal, or if i have a thermostat opening too soon..

I do believe that the OEm is a 192 temp thermostat, someone correct me if I'm wrong..

According to Haynes opening to full open is 169 - 194 degrees F.
Critical to engine efficiency.
