Default 2003 v6 questions

Hi, I have searched the forums a bit for answers but came up short, probably due to my lack of familiarity with the site.
I have recently acquired a 2003 Accord coupe V6 automatic, 170,000 miles, nicely optioned with heated leather, navigation, sunroof, etc.
I have been familiar with this car for a few years (owned by a relative) and believe I paid a fair price. It has a new set of Michelin tires, and a recent timing belt, water pump, and battery replacement.
The 5 questions I have at the moment are:
1 - some of the orange indicator lights are out on the heated seat switches, although one of them seems to be intermittent - are these serviceable?
2 - the heated seat switches have no backlights - should they?
3 - the center console shifter has no backlight - should it?
4 - the cd player has an error message - it was making a clicking/ratcheting noise for a while but is now silent.
5 - the headlight housings are very cloudy and have hairline cracks directly in front of the bulbs. A popular online auction site has aftermarket housings available; are some aftermarket housings better than others?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

1 - no, have to replace the switches
2 - no, they don't
3 - no, it doesn't, you see the gear selection on the dashboard
4 - need a new cd player
5 - you could try to polish them out with one of those headlight kits the parts houses sell. i used Mequiars Plast-X and a cordless drill with a buffing pad, worked ok, didn't last long.
