Default 2004 Accord front wheel bearing

Hi, new here, I drive an '04 Accord 3.0. Been doing all the maintenance and keeping it rolling with 250k on the clock so far. Great cars. I have a sound coming from the front while driving down the road, sounds possibly like a wheel bearing going out. I can't tell which side it is coming from so I want to pinpoint it with the car on jack stands before I tear it apart. >I'm old, I only want to do this once.< What is it that keeps the wheels spinning under 20mph, and the transmission from upshifting, when the car is off the ground? Is there a work around for this feature? Anyone been here before?
Thanks

Haven't been there before. I'm not sure why you can only get to 20mph. I suspect there is some kind of setting for the load on the engine/transmission before you can shift to 2nd gear. You can try manually shifting, by setting the gear to 1, then shift to 2.

Does the noise less noticeable when making a right or left turn at a decent speed?

PA, I tried all the normal stuff to verify wheel bearing failure/location and the sound stays pretty much the same when turning either direction. It's a wow wow wow wow wow sound at about 30mph. Daughter says she can't hear it. I said; you need to clean your dang ears out, lol. I may just do both sides and call it good.
BTW, I can't see my signature, is it showing up? If not, wonder why?
