So I have a 2004 accord and I’m trying to get the garage door button programmed. The middle button I have programmed to my house and it works fine. It’s been like that forever. I have another property and I want to get the first button for the garage at my other property. So the manual says hold down the garage opener button she the Honda home link button at same time. The red light on home link should start flashing. Well that happens with the middle button which I don’t want to reprogram, but the left and right buttons just stay a solid red when I want to reprogram. What am i doing wrong? Thanks

 

My TSX uses the same system. Depending on the opener, you may have to push the garage opener every few seconds as some remotes stop sending a signal after 2 seconds. You may also have a rolling code system that has some extra steps to program the remote. That information should also be in the owner's manual.
