2004 EX-L Navigation Part Number Check
Hi all,
New to the forum - thanks in advance if you can help.
The navigation issues on the 2004 era accords are well known, and I have a nav unit that frequently reboots. I know I can send my nav unit into Alpine for a $358 repair (while waiting a couple of weeks for them to return it).
What I'm wondering is this: I've seen some dealer sites selling part number
39540-SDA-A43RM
Which seems to be a remanufactured unit. It found a post that indicated that this might be the "goodwill" unit that a dealer would install for a complaining customer. It's not a new unit - maybe one already repaired by Alpine.
What I can't confirm is that it will fit my accord. The dealers I've asked via email won't directly say it doesn't fit.. they say something like 'that number isn't in the parts catalog'.
Can anyone confirm if this will fit my 2004 Accord? I'd rather purchase this one and save the 2 weeks of downtime.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The RM in the part number means remanufactured.
My part number search trick isn't working on honda parts site.
Did a quick search for 39540-SDA-A43 on ebay, and one listing has two OEM part numbers listed, 39540-SDA-405, 39540-SDA-A43.
I'd say to be sure, get the unit repaired and wait a week or two.
