Default 2004 Footwell Lighting Help

I have a 2004 Honda CDTI (4 door) and want to install footwell lighting (LED) so they come on when the doors are open.

I do not want them on during driving as they are off putting to me personally.

I know I need to tap off the Dome light but need to know the best place to get the supply.

Preferably under the dash or around the dash area would be good.
Can anyone help.

By the way I am in the UK and my car is Right hand drive.

Many thanks

There should be a few unused slots in the under-dash fuse box where you can draw power. Using something like an Add-A-Circuit and the proper fuse makes its easy to draw safe power.
