2004 Transmission potential problem??
Hello all,
Last weekend when the temps were 1* during the day...I took my '04 Accord out to pick something up. Just about when the car was fully warmed up a strange thing happened. I was sitting at a stop light with my foot on the brake and the car seemed to slip out of gear and wanted to move forward. Then it stopped and nothing has happened since...Can this be a sign of problems to come? I still under my extended warrantee and have already had the trans fluid drained and filled at 60,000 miles. I have heard about issues with the transmissions but I didn't what what what models were an issue.
Thanks in advance for your replies...

RE: 2004 Transmission potential problem??
to tell you the truth - i haven't done a 4 cylinder accord (03-07) ever, or seen one being done. they seem to be rock solid. i've never experienced what you are talking about unless i'm sitting at a light with the brakes lightly applied and an electrical load comes on(like radiator fans) which causes the idle to raise slightly giving a slightly pull on the drivetrain. this would be normal.
there is also a known problem with the car accelerating slightly faster than you'd expect when not holding the brake pedal. this isn't what your complaining about. (by the way, this condition is fixed with a PCM update)
