2005 with 280K miles on it and tranny is going
Hello everyone,
I am a newbie here and have been reading and searching the forum for some time.
I have a 2005 EX that has about 280K miles on it. It is a manual transmission and the tranny is going. I'd like to put a new/used tranny and new clutch in it, but I am not sure how many more miles I can get out of the motor.
Anyone have the 4cyl vtech with high miles? The motor is not using any oil and runs good.

Can't speak for the new gens but can speak to some of the older ones. From what I've seen, take care of the engine-oil changes, tune ups, t-belts and such and they'll go forever. Might look at Honda's website, the have a section where owners post about how many miles they have.

The 3rd gens I have are anywhere from 190K to 280K.
