Default 2005 Accord Battery Upgrade

So my poor old 2005 Accord 4-Banger is having difficulty starting in the COLD COLD mornings. And I'll be going to night school next semester, and don't feel like being left high and dry after class at 10pm!

I did this same thing in my other two Hondas (CRX and Accord)... I installed a (physically) larger battery more CCA - Cold Cranking Amps for cold cold starts. I used to work at an automotive shop, so I had the ability to do that "at my finger-tips".

Has anyone done this on their 05 Accord, if so what GROUP SIZE battery did you use? Recommendations? Suggestions?

Most people will simply upgrade to the larger V6 battery. Some people have bought the larger V6 battery box (or did without the plastic box), and larger ground wire to go with it. Do a search for Accord V6 battery upgrade, and I'm sure you'll find more information. I'm pretty sure it's group 35, but I could be wrong. Good luck

Duh! I'm an idiot. That makes perfect sense. Install a battery for a V6 Accord. Already ordered a battery box for the 6 ... It is indeed Group 35

Just remember that no matter how big the battery is if your wiring is not sized accordingly you won't be able to push those amps through. Also, after being burned twice, I replace batteries every four years whether they need it or not. Batteries loose capacity over time. Never had a problem since.
