Default 2005 Accord LX 4 Cyl - Oxy Sensor Fed vs California

I have a 2005 Honda Accord LX 4 Cyl with check light on. I am the first owner and purchased it in New Jersey. An auto service shop says I need to change downward Oxygen sensor & "thinks" I should buy CA emission Oxygen sensor.

I checked prices on various website for the product and found the following product which says (Exc. Calif). I want to order but not sure if this would work with my car. Can an expert confirm if this would work or not?:
Amazon.com: Denso 234-4797 Oxygen Sensor: Automotive

To get more assuring answer, I have attached emission sticker on my car.

I am happy to provide VIN number if that hellps

As far as I know, the only thing that will cause you issues on a CARB car is a non CARB cat converter. o2 sensors should all be the same. Just to be sure, you can match the part up here and see what the part number is

I hate CARB so much, and I'm not even in cali. ._.

Whats the engine light code?

I haven't heard the term "downward" for an O2 sensor, but perhaps you mean the post-converter O2 sensor or secondary O2 sensor. If this is the case, you have the correct part. I interpret "exc. CA" to mean "except CA".

The primary sensor (pre-converter) is an Air/Fuel sensor and does cost a bit more than post-converter O2 sensor.

good luck

I meant downstream not downward.
