The HVAC DTC 4 is an open or short in the mode control motor circuit.
Check the No. 30 (7.5A) fuse in the under dash fuse relay box. It may turn out to be the motor.
If it is the motor, it is behind the glove box area. You would remove the glove box first, then pull the relays away from the bracket to be able to access the motor. See images.
