Default 2005 Honda Accord Head Gasket

I have a 2005 Honda Accord EX 2.4L that I'm getting ready to do a head gasket on. I know I'm going to have a hard time getting the timing chain on and off and making sure it's set properly. Anyone have any advice or could point me in the right direction for a good set of instructions with pictures? I have the OEM tech manual but in some cases, it can be somewhat vague. Appreciate any help you guys can throw my way!!!

Are you replacing the timing chain, or planning on reusing?

I've never done a timing chain cylinder head job but have watched youtube videos by ericthecarguy and SouthMainAuto on the subject. Search their videos for jobs.

Starting about minute 25:

It appears to me that one of the prime challenges of the job is removing, cleaning, and reinstallation of the timing chain cover. Lots of potential problems; access to remove old sealant, rapid (set up time limit) continuous seamless application of new sealant, smooth installation of cover w/o damaging sealant gasket. Why a pre-formed gasket is not used is unclear to me.

Oldschoolfunk on youtube has some excellent advice to avoid removal of exhaust manifold and intake manifold for earlier Hondas. May be applicable to K24 engine,...or not. Worth a look/see. Intake and exhaust are reversed from earlier Honda 4-cylinder engines.

good luck
