Default 2005 Honda Accord window issue

Driver window when rolled all the way down wont roll up until you have it about half way up. When you roll it up and its not half way up it turns around and immediately rolls it back down. after you get it above half way it rolls all the way up. ANy ideas? Thanks.

Your car has the anti-pinch power windows. The power window motor incorporates a pulser which generates pulses during the motor's operation and sends pulses to the power window control unit. As soon as the power window control unit detects no pulses from the pulser, the power window control unit makes the power window motor stop and reverse. This is to prevent pinching your hand or fingers during auto-up operation. The anti-pinch operation is not active if closing the power windows by the key cylinder (I believe LX and EX have this feature), you can close the power windows and moonroof (if equipped) by inserting the key in the driver's door key cylinder and turn clockwise and release and then turn it clockwise again within 15 seconds and hold to close them.

Try cleaning and lubing the window run channel (google window run channel to see the rubber part I am referring to). Clean the run channel with some rubbing alcohol and then use some silicone based lubricant.

If cleaning and lubing the window run channel doesn't work, you may have to remove the door panel and see if there is something preventing the window from moving up smoothly.
